Running a department challenge or competition

Problems posted by a department attract teams across colleges. A good listing has: background, affected users, existing approaches and their limits, the desired outcome, success criteria, what resources you can offer (lab time, data, mentoring), eligibility, timeline, rewards and the confidentiality terms.

For judged competitions, publish the criteria and weights in advance, declare conflicts, keep score sheets, and record the award decision. The platform issues participation and award certificates with verification codes.
